June 9, 2011: Alpher and members of The Ikarus Chamber Players premiere his Song Without Words (a quartet for piano and strings) at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival. The concert is at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, 37 Main St. in Rockport, Mass., and starts at 7:30 PM. April 16 and 29, 2011: Cabaret artist Will Gaines performs Alpher's and Jennie Litt's The Voyage of the Manatee at Vassar College, with Alpher at the piano. January 12 and 29, 2011: Alpher and Jennie Litt bring their New York debut show Composing Ourselves to the Metropolitan Room in Manhattan. July 19, 26, 31, 2010: Alpher and Jennie Litt present their official New York cabaret debut show, Composing Ourselves, at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46 St. in Manhattan. March 10, 2010: Alpher and Jennie Litt will be featured cabaret artists at The Iguana, 240 West 54th Street, New York, presenting original songs. March 10, 2010: Alpher's Song of Witness will be performed at the Tucson Winter Chamber Music Festival, Tucson, Ariz. Performing will be Christopheren Nomura, Roger Chase, Carol Wincenc, Steven Doane, and Bernadene Blaha. May 30, 2009: An all-David Alpher concert will be presented by the Concerts Con Brio series, at Christ Episcopal Church in Poughkeepsie, NY at 7:30 PM. February 2, 2005: Alpher appears as pianist at the Cleveland Institue of Art's 25th Anniversary Gala Music Series. He plays Schubert songs with Christopheren Nomura, as well as Poulenc's Le Bal Masqué with Nomura and the Modus Ensemble.
